The last activity of Friday troop before the summer holidays saw 4 of the senior Scouts do their Expedition, navigating from Fleet to Aldershot station on a hot day, taking the train to Farnham, then hiking on to Garner’s Field near Tilford to camp.
Day 2 striking camp and navigating a route ending at Frensham Little Pond for a well- deserved ice cream.
Useful lessons in navigating, packing well, supporting each other, and persevering were learnt along the way. The inspiration of the statue of a soldier carrying a comrade was poetic (to the leaders at least).
