Tonight 6th Fleet Friday Scouts took advantage of British Summer Time and the lighter evening for a classic outside game of Goat Football.
Each scout has 1 rope and ties 2 bowlines , 1m apart. They also have a short stake or peg.
2 teams and a pitch. Players position themselves around the pitch and their stake is bashed into the ground.
One bowline around an ankle, one over the stake Game on!
It helps to have a YL on ball retrieval duty.
Adults stand and watch. We”ve not done this for a couple of years. It’s hilarious – the video doesn’t do it justice.
